Ce précis exploite une méthode d’analyse des structures conceptuelles fondée sur les paramètres de la psychosystématique du langage pour rendre compte du fait que tout mot est le signe d’un concept qui relève d’un système de représentation fonctionnel, et dont la valeur est relative à celle de tous les autres produits de ce système. Depuis la période d’austérité financière qu’ont connu plusieurs pays d’Occident à l’orée des années 2000, le domaine de l’éducation n’a pas cessé d’être frappé de front par des restrictions budgétaires qui ont des répercussions directes sur le travail des enseignants. Cette situation engendre un manque de ressources pour les élèves et une dégradation des infrastructures scolaires. Le discours politique met en exergue l’importance de l’éducation, mais se bute à une froide réalité où l’État ne semble pas avoir les moyens – ou ne plus avoir le désir – d’être à la hauteur de ses ambitions éducatives. Dans ce contexte, des enseignants doivent faire face à des changements incessants qui apportent des défis nouveaux tels que l’éclatement des savoirs, l’émergence des technologies et de la formation à distance, la relation avec les élèves, l’émergence des communautés de pratique, la pluriethnicité ainsi que les attentes grandissantes des parents et de la société. Conséquemment, le travail enseignant s’est considérablement complexifié et cette situation nourrit plusieurs déceptions, ce qui entraine chez certains d’entre eux de la détresse psychologique ou le décrochage professionnel.
