The ninth work in the New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling series that started with Beautiful Bastard. In this e-novella, Will Sumner and Hanna Bergstrom (from Beautiful Player ) find that a wedding and everlasting love were just the beginning. One Player tamed. One nerd girl satisfied. And one more major life decision to make. When Will fell for Hanna, her quirky sense of humor and fierce dedication to her career were part of the attraction. (Not to mention her coy newbie attitude toward sex and her willingness to let him teach her everything .) But when the job offers start rolling in for her—and oh, they do—Hanna has trouble deciding what she wants, where they should live, and how much she should burden Will with the decision. Magic between the sheets is only one part of a relationship...getting on the same page is quite another altogether. |

Top 40 Amazon Bestseller Over 150,000 books sold! From a reader: All of us with kindles watch for the bargains - admit it. I got this book because it was a bargain and had good reviews. It was simply put, terrific. The mystery was excellent from the get-go and the main character, Thomas Prescott, is very funny: "I'm not into politics. The last time I voted was for Carrie Underwood." In the opening scene, Prescott is in Maine suffering from depression on Thanksgiving. He hops a plane to his home town of Seattle and almost immediately finds a dead body adrift on the shore outside his boyhood home. Even though he is an ex-cop and retired consultant to the FBI, he can't keep his hands out of the investigation. The investigation leads him to different suspects, investigators, supporting cast members and locales. The book has the very good mystery, the excellent main character, very good supporting characters (no matter how minor, none are cutouts) and there is the added element of a bit of science thrown into the mix. To divulge it would be a small spoiler, so I won't, but I always like to learn a bit of something while being thoroughly entertained. Halfway through the book I ordered Mr. Pirog's other two books. I then thought: "Uh oh, what if the ending isn't any good?" After the ending, I was even happier I will have two more of Mr. Pirog's books to look forward to reading. --Richard A. Mitchell Book Description: MEET THOMAS. THOMAS IS HAVING A ROUGH GO. HIS GIRL LEFT HIM. HE'S ALONE ON THANKSGIVING. HE'S OUT OF WAFFLES. AND NOW SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KILL HIM. His love life in shambles, Thomas Prescott returns to Seattle, the very place he fled from after his parents' deaths nearly a decade earlier. Just as Thomas is getting settled in, he sees a body floating in the private cove behind his boyhood home. It is a woman. But not just any woman. The governor of Washington. As the suspense ratchets, and the twists unfold, Thomas is thrown into the middle of the biggest murder investigation in Washington state history. Prescott is forced to confront the demons from his past and unearths a new enemy, one that couldn't possibly be human, one that has haunted man since the dawn of time... More reviews: Pirog engages readers with a tight plot, well-developed characters, historical context, and just enough pop culture to keep you begging for more. Thomas Prescott is witty, arrogant -yet generous, and operates on just enough id to make him adorable. He is my favorite naughty character by far! Every page begs to be turned, every chapter begs to be completed, and the end leaves you begging for the next book! --Tami I read approximately 8-10 books a month and have for years so that should give an idea of how impressed I am with his author. I am writing this review because this author DESERVES to be read. Refreshingly funny, quirky and still produces a many layered well thought out mystery thriller. "Gray Matter" adds even more than just chuckles and a thought provoking who done it, this story even went as far as to throw in tears. I was mesmerized from the first page by not only the main plot but by the sub plot as well, the ending left me surprised and with tears in my eyes. WOW! --Tif Saucer |

Three hot security contractors. Three women in danger. This box set contains the first three novels of the Allen Securities series: Reed, Kace and Liam. REED: Olivia Cross left behind her abusive alcoholic mother to move on to a better life, a new job at a library and a chance to actually get ahead. All of that is threatened when her brother drags her back into the seedy world of greed, violence and corruption she’s tried desperately to flee. Private security contractor Reed Allen isn’t about to let a burning attraction rope him in again. He’s already felt the sting of letting his heart rather than his head lead him. He’s just there to do the job and get paid, even if a certain spunky beautiful librarian has him feeling things he thought long since buried. Keeping Olivia safe is the easy part. Resisting their passionate urges could prove to be much harder. They’ll have to mend their broken hearts and move on from their painful pasts for a chance at a future. KACE: Jessica Tamm is just trying to get ahead in life and escape the cloud of her father’s criminal past. Though, it’d probably help if she hadn’t taken a job managing a club owned by the head of the local Irish mob. As far as she’s concerned, her own discomfort is a minor price to pay to earn the money she needs for her sister’s education. Unfortunately, the Russians interested in taking over local organized crime don’t seem to care that her job has nothing to do with the criminal world of her boss. Monitoring the Russian and Irish mobs is just another step in the promotion ladder for cop Kace Allen, or at least that's what he keeps telling himself. Babysitting a mob boss club isn't what he’d call a fun time, but the scenery, particularly the sexy manager, is nice. Too bad he can't trust the daughter of a criminal who works for a criminal. He’s sworn to uphold the law, and no one, not even a beautiful woman, has made him question that before. When the temperature rises between the Russian and Irish factions and Jessica’s caught in the middle, Kace starts to see the lines between good and bad, law-abiding and criminal, are a lot blurrier than he ever realized. LIAM: Meg Allen traveled to London to learn new skills for her brother’s security firm and try and bury her feelings for a certain sexy co-worker, Liam. A summer away in London hasn’t cooled the flames of passion. Equipped with a defiant attitude and a new hairdo, she has to face the man she’s pined after while also dealing with an unknown enemy targeting her home. Liam Grant is still coming to terms with his deepened and shocking connections to the Irish mob. He has to make a choice of either his blood family or the Allen family and his career at their security firm. With Meg threatened, he pushes aside his own concerns to focus on the investigation. Though he tells himself that his family connections are just another danger to Meg, his passion risks burning away his objectivity and could blind him to the truth of who is actually targeting the woman he desires. |

It’s really simple. I needed money. A lot of money. One million dollars to be exact. The amount didn’t matter. All that mattered is that at the end of that price tag held my father’s life. No money. No life. The time limit was one year. On January 1st I had to pay up or my Father was going to be killed. When you’re faced with an ultimatum like this, you do whatever you have to do. And that’s exactly what I did. The job…Exquisite Escorts. My role, serve as high priced arm candy to anyone that can afford the $100,000 price tag for a month of my company. Sex is optional (for me) and a 20% increase on the price. *** Mia Saunders just barely escaped a paltry life back home in Las Vegas until she gets the call that her Father has been beaten to within an inch of his life for not paying his gambling debt. Serve as a high-priced escort for her Aunt’s company and pay monthly against her Father’s bad debt. A month with a rich man who she doesn’t have to sleep with if she doesn’t want to? Easy money. A fiancée. I’m going to Chicago to pretend to be some Italian Stallion’s future wife. Why a massive hunk, boxer, and rich restaurateur needs a fake bride is beyond me. The moment I met Antony “Tony” Fasano, I thought I might have lost my ability to breathe. In my twenty four years of life, I’d not seen anything like him. Politics, phallic statues, and pretty women. Literally everywhere you look, you see an old man and a gold-digging, cling-on wrapped around their wrinkly arms. Looks as though my hot streak ended when Warren Shipley, one of the nation’s wealthiest men, hired me to play arm-candy to save face with the other one percenters he did business with. At least that’s what I thought when I arrived in Washington, DC, until I was met by old man Shipley’s debonair and insanely handsome son. The Senator from California, Aaron Shipley. Youngest senator in the history of politics, single, beyond rich, and the face of every political magazine around the US. Women everywhere wanted a taste of that power. Me, I’d always thought politics were boring…boy was I wrong. Democracy had never been more exciting. |

Books about the Kennedys are legion. Yet missing until now has been the exploration of the bond between Jack and Bobby, and the part that it played in their rise and fall. Eight years apart in age, they were wildly different in temperament and sensibility. Jack was the born leader—charismatic, ironic, capable of extraordinary growth and reach, yet also pathologically reckless. Bobby was the fearless, hardworking Boy Scout—unafraid of dirty work and ruthless about protecting his brother and destroying their enemies. Jack, it was said, was the first Irish Brahman, Bobby the last Irish Puritan. As Mahoney demonstrates with brilliant clarity in this impeccably documented, magisterial book, the Kennedys lived their days of power in dangerous, trackless territory. The revolution in Cuba had created a poisonous cauldron of pro- and anti-Castro forces, the CIA, J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI, and the Mafia. Mahoney gives us Jack and Bobby in all their hubris and humanity, youthfulness and fatalism. Here is American history as it unfolds. The Kennedy Brothers is a fresh and masterful account of the men whose legacy continues to hold the American imagination. Originally published under the title Sons and Brothers . |

Swimsuits, sun, surfing, and a sexy Samoan. I headed to the island of Oahu, Hawaii to meet with cutting-edge swimsuit fashion designer, Angel D’Amico, to serve as head model for the “Beauty Comes in All Sizes” swimsuit campaign. The designer wants to show the world that beauty is not just a size two. My curves got me into this gig, and, the moment I laid eyes on my modeling “partner,” I’d never been happier with my buxom form. Tai Niko had everything the average man lacked. Height, broad shoulders, a nipped in waist, square pecs, tree trunk thighs, and a look that rivaled “The Rock.” The part that made me drool and weakened my knees, was the thick, intricate tribal tattoos running down the entire left side of his muscled frame from shoulder to ankle. The design was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and I couldn’t wait to trace the tips of my fingers over every inch. |

Hip-hop, Miami heat, and the Latin Lov-ah. The second half to this year-long journey has taken me to Magic City…Miami. I’ve been hired by the nation’s top hip-hop artist, Anton Santiago. His name is as sexy as he is, and it rolls off the tongue the same way his muscled form rolls to his music. He goes by the name Latin Lov-ah, and boy does he work that title from his rock-hard body, Latin hip-hop fusion dance moves, to the way he beds his women. He’s raw, dirty, and one hundred percent player...and I want to wrap my naked body all over him and forget about everything. Every word that comes out of his mouth is a siren’s song. Every thrust of his hips draws me closer. Every breath against my neck sends me into a tailspin of need and desire. After what happened in June, I need to rip the bandage off. Move on. Anton could be just the thing I need to get my groove back. I was hired to play the part of a seductress in Anton’s new music video, but, in the end, I’m the one being seduced. |

Baseball, beer, and a hot boy. Nothing can beat that. Until I meet Mason “Mace” Murphy the next “it” pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and my client. He’s immature, arrogant, sexy as sin, and the last man that’s going to get into my panties. He’s not used to hearing the word no from women, so I’m going to spell it out for him. N = Not going to happen. O = Out of your league buddy. I was hired to cuddle up to the annoying, beautiful athlete, and give prospective advertisers and fans a different view of this hot-shot professional baller. Only he’s everything I detest in a man all wrapped into a dream package. Baseball player, talented, athletic body, sculpted face, and ass you can bounce quarters off of. Unfortunately, he also believes he’s God’s gift to women, a man-whore, throws money around like it grows on trees, and conceited. The challenge for him, to break down my defenses and get in there. My challenge, avoid hopping in the sack with him at all costs. |

Vegas, Viscous Exes, and Ventilators. My life felt like a fast ride on a too short highway. Coming home should be roses and rainbows, but nothing that comes out of the desert blooms free. I was most certainly not free. I’d missed my payment to Blaine, owed the last client a hundred grand I didn’t have, and my father was on his deathbed. To make matters worse, Wes was missing in action. As in, no one had seen or heard from him in three weeks. Devastation didn’t begin to explain where my mental state was at. Like anything life had thrown my way, I pulled on my big girl panties, not the sexy lacy ones I enjoyed teasing my guy with, but the kind that said, “This ass means business.” I had no choice but to make the decision I made.
